T & C

We have a few simple T&C’s which apply to all bookings.  When you confirm your booking by the payment of a deposit you are entering into a contract between you, the guest, and Sunflower Lodge. Please read the following conditions of let carefully and ask for an explanation of any point that may be unclear to you. You will be asked to confirm your acceptance before booking. Terms & conditions
  1. The letting period runs from 4pm on the day of arrival until 10am on the day of departure.
  2. A firm booking will be made on receipt of a completed booking form and deposit paid to the value of 50% of the total rental due (or £100 – whichever is greater). The remainder of balance due should be received by Sunflower Lodge four weeks prior to arrival. Any bookings made within 4 weeks of arrival should be paid in full at time of booking.
  3. In the event of a cancellation the deposit will be refunded only if the property can be re-let for the cancelled period. The guest is responsible for arrangements of appropriate holiday cancellation insurance and, for the avoidance of any doubt, Sunflower Lodge provides no such insurance as part of the contract.
  4. The property should be kept clean and in good condition and any breakage’s reported immediately.
  5. If excessive cleaning is required, at the discretion of Sunflower Lodge, a cleaning charge of £25 will be levied. A security deposit of £100 is required against which any repair of damage or replacement of breakages, can be offset. This must be paid when the final payment for the booking is made. After your stay this (or any remaining balance) will be returned to the guest as soon as possible by Sunflower Lodge  – usually within seven days. In the event that the cost of putting right the property owing to damage or negligence by the guest exceeds the security deposit, then Sunflower Lodge will pursue the guest for any outstanding amounts.
  6. Due to the high fire risk, candles are not allowed in the house.
  7. The person who signs the booking form will be responsible for ensuring that the conditions of let are adhered to, for any loss or damage to the accommodation and the contents, given fair wear and tear, however caused during the rental period.
  8. Personal property of guests is not the responsibility of Sunflower Lodge. Vehicles and personal items are left entirely at your own risk.
  9. If for any reason the property is not available to you on the dates booked due to events beyond our reasonable control, Sunflower Lodge will take reasonable steps to find alternative accommodation. If suitable accommodation is not available, then all sums paid by the guest will be refunded. Sunflower Lodge will have no further liability to the guest or any other party.
  10. Sunflower Lodge cannot accept liability in the event that adverse weather conditions or road closures affect your travel plans and no refunds will be given for delayed or non arrivals.
  11. Sunflower Lodge cannot be held responsible in any way for any failure of Utility Services.
